Pokelife - ... and with that by ~Black-Roses-Fall:iconBlack-Roses-Fall:

The apparent owner of the dojo seemed poised, ready to prove her point. "Alright, I'll start things off, sir. Let's go!" Tossing a Pokeball into the air, a Beedrill erupted from the flash of light, and Dianne was seemingly content. Myth's lips twitched, staring at the black and yellow bee Pokemon, with stingers poised ready. He rememberd Warsp, and his encounter in the forest. He could still feel the cool iron of the shackles, trapping him to a place that could have very well been his tomb. It was then that a dark, malevolent emotion overtook Myth. It was not fear. It was not hate. It was something darker.

Some say, that when madness strikes, it's like you're suffocating. You forget how to breathe properly, and you lose all control. Myth knew in that instant that this was untrue. Madness wasn't a shroud, blocking life from view; it was a crystal, a glass, a object of such magnifying potential that the truths that it showed were impossible to ignore. Myth knew himself then. He knew himself, and he had finally found his purpose. No longer would he merely desire to use the power of Pokemon for his own. He would aim higher; his new mission clear. To start an entire organisation dedicated to the continued acquistion of Pokemon and power, so that he could control the world. Because deep down, Myth was still in that dark, dank cavern, with its twisted shadows and horrible truth. Because he could hear the Beedrill in his mind, he could feel it in his bones, and it consumed him. It was him. And with that, Myth sent out his Pokemon. Absol answered Myth's final call.

"It's time I ended this. Thank you, girl, for helping me to find myself. I will now bestow unto you the ultimate gift any one soul could give to another." Myth was dead cold, showing no emotion, almost as if he merely a doll.
"You're going to give me a present, sir? I don't understand." The dojo girl was obviously confused by Myth's sudden change, but knew how much was waged on this final battle. "Beedrill, let's go, Twin Needle!"
"All, I can say, girl, is that I know you will find peace where you go. There is no torment in death." With this line, the Absol dodged the menacing Bee Pokemon, and stood poised, awaiting it's makeshift Trainer's order. "But in order to create, we must first destroy. Say goodbye to your former life! Absol, Hyper Beam!" Myth's howl echoed from all the walls in the dojo, the pure malice in his command invaded the dojo girl's mind, chilled her soul, and dropped her to her knees. The enormous yellow-white beam shot from the Absol's mouth, but missed the Beedrill completely, flying far above it. Dianne laughed timidly, counting her stars.

"It seems your attack missed sir, how unfortunate for you." Dianne spoke with renewed confidence.
"Did it?" Myth shot back, "Was I aiming for you at all? Or did Absol just destroy the shelf behind you?" All Myth could do was smirk as Dianne turned to watch in horror as shelf after shelf came toppling down in a domino effect. In a matter of moments the entirety of "Dining, Dojo, Ditto" was crumbling. Dianne screamed, "What have you done, you monster? I have nothing left. Everything I know and own is here!" It was then that Myth walked towards the now broken girl, placed a hand on her shoulder, and spoke the first of the words that would inspire so many.
"It is only in death, that we can finally appreciate life. Trust me, I died once." And together, with the bag of Pokeballs and Myth's own Pokemon on-hand, Myth left together with Dianne, and together they watched, as both their pasts burned to the ground.

I'm really happy with this piece. Critique away, but I especially love the ending. :)

Liked the ending. I think the line "But, for now, die!" is a bit.....lacking in subtlety and actual effect. I'd give it a bit of a dramatic effect: "But, for now...you must die!!"

I wish I could have mentioned Dianne..though I might be able to.

Eh,she's not THAT important. However, perhaps a GS-esque 'awaiting Team Rocket revival' style character interaction might work?

*shrugs*

Yeah, you're right about that. I'll edit it now.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Something to add a little more drama and push things up to chapter 100.

Changed it to something along the lines of, "In order to create, we must first destroy. Say goodbye to your former life!"

Ya damn right.. even Apocalyptica covers of Metallica are good!

In other news, this comment is now about wasting time whilst there are surely better things to be doing, but, well, fuck it.

Discuss.
